Greetings All,

My wife and I will be on the westbound Canadian in mid October and I was wondering if the car attendants and diner/lounge staff care whether they are tipped in US or CDN cash.  Since American money is worth more my hunch is that it would be preferred.  Any thoughts?

As a convenience to them, I always tip in Canadian currency, but I think they would be satisfied with either.

I agree and always tip in CA.  And bear in mind that on board service crews change at Winnipeg so you may wish to tip those who have  served you to that point.
