magazines and happened to notice a picture of BCOL 4617 leading a Chicago & Northwestern coal train eastbound out of Fremont,Nebraska on May 8, 1992. It and sister 4607--which was the remotely controlled tail end pusher on the train--were borrowed by C&NW to test Locotrol on coal trains bound for Boone, Iowa. When I saw this post I was, surprisingly, able to remember where I had just seen 4617. The picture was in the August '92 issue of TRAINS.
