A train, a truck & spectacular scenery.
Author: Guitartrain

Sometimes, its as much about the scenery as it is the train. Here, a W/B CPKC manifest is getting under way at the west end of Natal Siding on CPKC's Cranbrook Sub main. ES44ACs 8802 & 8903 are on the point. On the left, a cool lookin' tractor/flat bed is slowing to enter the Sparwood CVSE (Commercial Vehicle Safety & Enforcement) inspection station. 3:53PM on 9-10-23 east of Sparwood, BC.

That's the siding at Crowsnest, Natal is 12 or so miles downhill just east of Sparwood

I'm using the 2023 Canadian Trackside Guide as my reference. On page 14-78, Cranbrook Subdivision, there is only one siding shown east of Sparwood, MP 17.7 and its Natal (9450 feet) at MP 13.7. Crowsnest is 13.7 miles east of Natal.

Yup, and the scale is at the west end of Crowsnest. This scene is mile 1.5 Cranbrook Sub, the subdivision change is at the east end. Crowsnest used to be a crew change point, but I think all crews change at Sparwood now rather than taking a van ride from Crowsnest to the bunkhouse located at Sparwood.
