Canadian Railroads > A bit of snow today, 1990Date: 10/10/24 16:40 A bit of snow today, 1990 Author: march_hare It's January 1990 in Smiths Falls, ON. A big nor'easter has just stopped dumping snow a few hours ago.
Did I mention that is really, really freakin' cold? And windy, too. My buddy and I have just finished shooting time exposures around the turntable, Neither one of us has had the foresight to bring a cable release , so we are using our ungloved hands to hold down the shutter buttons for 20, 40, maybe 60 seconds. Truth told, it's pretty idiotic. We encounter a gent I assume was the hostler or some equivalent as were packing up. I'm prepared for an apologetic departure, or at least an explanation that were not vandals or thieves. "No worries" he says as we prepare to depart: "It's a chilly night, and nobody would be out here without a reason". Date: 10/10/24 17:08 Re: A bit of snow today, 1990 Author: train1275 Ahhh !!!
