Canadian Railroads > 1986: Jasper as seen from Whistler's MtnDate: 11/27/24 15:25 1986: Jasper as seen from Whistler's Mtn Author: Pattenburg Back on August 11, 1986, I was travelling across Canada and spent a few days in Jasper. While there I hiked up to the summit of Whistler's Mountain, elevation 8,104 feet, and snapped this view of Jasper. The second image on VIA 6550 was taken on August 9th. Tried doing some research on what ever became of VIA 6550 but could not find any information about it.

It was then sold back to CP in 1998, ran as 1400 again, retired in 2011 and placed on display at CP's Ogden Yard in Calgary in 2018.
