Canadian Railroads > Better Luck the Next Day - 10 Years Ago

After a frustrating day on December 28, 2014 we had some success on the 29th on our trip to the NTR.

Train 121 was closer to its regular morning schedule when we caught it at Lac Baker at 10:39 (all times Atlantic Standard) on the Pelletier Sub.  We followed them to Pelletier Siding where they headed into the woods to meet 306 at Fourchue.

We then followed 306 back towards Edmundston, getting them at multiple locations, including the Boucanée Trestle at 13:15.

Once 306 reached Edmundston, the crew doubled into the yard, and 305, which had been waiting at St-Basile, a few miles east of Edmundston on the Napadogan, was able to proceed to the yard.  305 is shown here with 6 units, getting under way again after stopping at the west end of the former siding.

Once 305 reached the yard in Edmundston they had a quick recrew at 15:38 and were on their way again.  We got a few more sets as they headed west in the waning light and then took off for Campbellton. It was going to be an early start the next morning for the Ocean's return to Halifax.
