CP SD40-2F 9020 in fresh paint
Author: srman

I posted this on the eastern board yesterday but I thought I would put one of here. Paducah & Louisville yesterday delivered to their yard in Louisville Ky. a
freshly painted CP SD40-2F. Looked nice but one has to wonder why it wasn't painted in CPKC. Somebody suggested maybe going to a museum.

Tho not required or used in Canada,  that white bar above the engineers window  covers  the roof mounted PTC equipment.  To me, looks like going  into revenue service,  no musuem yet.

I think the repaint/refresh of the ex-CMQ barns was ordered before the new paint scheme was designed; to update the paint would be an additional cost "change order" and we all know you can't spell cheap without "CP"!
