Canadian Railroads > Signal SundayDate: 04/13/25 11:41 Signal Sunday Author: hoggerdoug A gloomy afternoon, February 1971. Extra West C&O 3573 near E&O on the NYC / PC double track CASO (Canada Southern) in southern Ontario, Canada. Seen in the image is the eastward signal governing the "railway crossing at grade" of the TH&B Rly Dunville subdivision. If I recall the other signal to the right of the mast would indicate to receive train orders at E&O. There was a tower at E&O, manned by a NYC employee Monday to Friday 11am to 7pm to line the route for the TH&B trains at the diamond. All ancient history now, the tracks are gone, the tower gone and never see a train here again.
The moment in time was caught with my trusty Kodak Instamatic camera some 54 years ago.... Doug Date: 04/13/25 16:08 Re: Signal Sunday Author: 3rdswitch Nice catch.
JB Date: 04/22/25 22:45 Re: Signal Sunday Author: BCHellman Good looking track. Why was this line eliminated?

Windsor-Detroit Tunnel and the bridge at Niagara Falls were what CN-CP were after. |
