Canadian Railroads > Twenty Years AgoDate: 06/15/25 07:49 Twenty Years Ago Author: hoggerdoug Where does the time go ?? Twenty years ago on this day, we were northbound on the BC Rail Lillooet subdivision and took the siding at Lac La Hache for a meet with a southbound freight. If I recall the train was designated 470 and a monster drag with 3 locos on the point and 3 MU'd DPU way back in the train.
BCOL 4647 leading. Lumber loads A big chunk of wood chips for export. ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 06/15/25 07:54 Re: Twenty Years Ago Author: hoggerdoug One more image, 3 units MU'd working DPU.
In the "good old days" BC Rail ran three regular frieght trains through here each way every day, a switcher to Exeter as well as the regular Budd Car passenger train. All has changed and the only train through here is the Rocky Mountaineer tourist train. Thanks for looking. Doug. PS.. Happy Fathers Day. ![]() Date: 06/16/25 11:46 Re: Twenty Years Ago Author: RogersPass Hi Doug, Great Photos and thanks for the look back in time. I hope all is well with you
