Canadian Railroads > Container Livery for Goths - Black Loon at the HatDate: 06/20/25 15:46 Container Livery for Goths - Black Loon at the Hat Author: feclark On Friday, June 6, our trio was on the network of public walking trails at the east side of Medicine Hat, AB. Watching CPKC #146 climb the hill, we noticed something out of the ordinary coming toward us - black containers. Perhaps PC had them back in the day, but these were new to us. Riding the top was DRYU 911892_8, a Loon 45G1, and the bottom container on the trailing car was also a Loon 45G1, reporting marks CCEU 667398_0. A bit of searching on Google suggests these belong to SeaCastle (Interpool). A unit train of these would not be pretty, but what if you mixed it in with various pink and white ONE boxes?

No idea, but that's a great catch on your part! Now it makes sense visually. I was trying to figure out if the uneven edges were supposed to represent feathering on a bird or something. The atlas says all. Fred Date: 06/21/25 14:24 Re: Container Livery for Goths - Black Loon at the Hat Author: a737flyer Perfect! Good eyes .

Five different days over the years at this location, and we've never seen snakes. The trail is paved and wide, with housing not more than 30 meters away, and only 10 or so meters through cacti (now that's the local hazard) to the viewpoints on the edge of the bluffs. Snakes are more scared of you then you are of it and they will go way out of their way to avoid you.
They normally strike only when you have cornered them and they see no way out. And even in "snake country", i.e. the Mojave Desert, if you just take a second to actually look where you're walking or placing your hands you should be all right. We're much too big for them to hunt. Date: 06/25/25 09:28 Re: Container Livery for Goths - Black Loon at the Hat Author: kevink dan Wrote:
------------------------------------------------------- > tobacco looks like https://theloonmn.com/ That makes sense as the loon is the Minnesota state bird. All you’ll ever want to know about loons at: https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/birds/commonloon.html Posted from iPhone |
