1. Here we see a westbound CP general freight hitting the east siding switch of Port Hope on the Belleville sub, July 1993.

2. Seconds later the conductor tosses rolled up trainorders to the waiting railfan!

3. An eastbound freight is less than a mile from the Port Hope west siding switch (near Haskill Road), May 1992.

I can hear the sound show from those prime movers - and this Alco / MLW fan loves the thought. Three really neat images. These engines looked good in that CP scheme, too, better than I had remembered, looking at them now with hindsight and the perspective of the years. I like the first shot especially - excellent composition to get Lake Erie there in the background, and with a searchlight signal to boot. A fine set - thanks!
