Canadian Railroads > Before All the ACsDate: 12/19/25 13:57 Before All the ACs Author: cn6218 The usual power on the gypsum trains in Nova Scotia is now a pair of AC GEs, but before there were plenty to go around, SD70M-2s would sometimes get the call. On July 30, 2019 8925 (and SD75I 5704, hidden behind) was leading an empty train 511 past mile 29 in Enfield, NS on the way to the mine. The doused ditch lights are probably becasue 511 met 120 at Sandy Cove, two or three miles back, and the engineer has forgotten to turn them back on.
