I didn't start taking railway pictures until the mid '90s, by which time vans (or cabooses, if you prefer) were a thing of the past for mainline trains in Canada.  There were still a few hanging around for work trains or used as shoving platforms for long backup moves.  That was the case for CN 78107, a former International Service van, at the time assigned to Rockingham Yard in Halifax.  It was most often used on local 507, between Rockingham and Lakeside on the Chester Sub.  On December 10, 1995 it was sitting in Rockingham, surrounded by autoracks of Volvos that it had escorted from the plant at mile 3 of the Chester Sub.
