Canadian Railroads > MLW Monday - Throwing the Switch in CharlottetownDate: 03/16/26 11:01 MLW Monday - Throwing the Switch in Charlottetown Author: feclark Last week I posted up a shot of an RSC-14 switching in Charlottetown at https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?15,6148868. I reference it in particular because langleyrailfan appended an aerial view that makes the location very clear. Today's photo shows CN 1753 clearing switch points to allow the throw, to continue switching on June 27, 1983. You'll notice the shop building in the background (NE side of Prince Street) that shows up very clearly in the aerial view. Somebody had a lot of confidence in parking their Chevrolet Caprice Classic [?], same with the motorcycle. They must have been regulars and had a string for measuring safe distance from the railhead.

Maybe they had a Spidey Sense from years of practice. Fred |
