Once again you're killing us with your TTC shots, Bob! When you see a photo like this, you realize how vulnerable this system, and electrical supply in general, is to ice storms.

4312 is an example of A-6 class of 100 cars, delivered February-June 1948.

I'll take a stab at the location. The oncoming car is westbound on King, destined to the Dundas West subway station that is the terminus of the King route, reached via Roncesvalles Avenue. The photo is taken from inside an eastbound car and a few blocks ahead there is a railway bridge. That would have to be the bridge that today carries the GO Weston Sub and CP Galt Sub over King on a diagonal angle, at about Atlantic Avenue. In the distance are the downtown skyscrapers that sit on the south (right) side of King, with 61-storey Commerce Court being the tallest. In 1975, they will be eclipsed by the 72-storey First Canadian Place (Bank of Montreal) tower on the north (left) side of King, but at the time of this photo there are no tall structures on the north side. (For the next 50-plus years, the Bank of Montreal tower would be Canada's tallest building, but will be overtaken by two others in Toronto currently under construction.)

If I have the location correct, this is the intersection of King and Dufferin Avenue, with the tracks that turn to the right (south) leading to the Dufferin Loop.

Great photo - what is that white building on the left, the one with the interesting architecture?

It was the showroom of the Metallic Roofing Company at 1184 King Street West, on the north side of King just east of the Dufferin Street intersection, which confirms my guess posted above. Built in 1897 and still standing in 1983 when some of the photos at this link were made.  https://wholemap.com/historic/toronto.php?subject=metalic_roofing_showroom

Google Earth images shows that a one-storey strip of retail businesses that replaced it have themselves been demolished, with a multi-storey commercial building taking shape in 2024 and likely completed by now.

By coincidence, I took a photo on a 2024 visit from a streetcar at this very spot, while going south on Dufferin from Queen Street during a diversion of the Queen route. The view is looking eastward on King. The multi-storey building under construction at left is on the site of the Metallic Roofing showroom.

Far in the distance, the white skyscraper is the First Canadian Place tower that I mentioned in my post above.
