That is such a crisp image of a nostalgic scene. The ballast edge is also crisp; I can't recall ever seeing anything like it in my years shooting in Canada.

Yes; the number appears to be 5479, which would make this ex-NS née-SOU SD40-2 3248.

I had one of those high nose B-units in a consist over Tenn. Pass also in the Summer of 95!
