June 18, 2008, southbound on the Rocky Mountaineer traveling through the Shalalth tunnel on the BC Rail Squamish sub. The tunnel is approximately 3,000 feet long, mile board  141 is at the north portal and the north switch of Seton siding is a few hundred feet south from the south portal.

what were the speedlimits for the rdc's up there?

Maximum speed limit on RDC's was 65mph, although done faster than that where possible.  All trackage had various time table permitted speeds, dpending on track curvature, location etc, varied 20 mph to 65mph. The Rocky Mountaineer was pretty much freight train speeds, although permitted faster in some locations.
