Veteran CN dining car steward
Author: gcm

Dec 1980
A rough image - flash was not working.
On the Super Continental, a 38 year Canadian National veteran works at a table in dining car 1367.
This diner (originally a parlor-dinette) was built by Pullman-Standard in 1954.

Great photo.  The shot invokes memories of our old Santa Fe men who worked the Lone Star for Amtrak.  Mr. Gibson, Mr. Livolsi, Mr. Kalontis, Mr, Thompson, Mr. Mikrut, Mr. Leggin and others.  They could all assume that pose....

Goodness!  You guys sure know your ex-Santa Fe Lone Star stewards.  I met everyone of them on the list.  Add too, Stanley Krsyna who appeared off & on during that time.  The real amazing thing about this photo was how much accounting and bookeeping of paper receipts they had to do.
