Canadian Railroads > British Columbia Railway unknown locations MLW power?

This post has scenes from what I believe is from the province of British Columbia, MLW power with what I think are a couple of ex L&N Alco's. Great scenery and trains, probably 1972-75 era. Unknown photographer, my collection, KCRW287

Agree those are all between Squamish and Mt Currie, a no brainer because that's the parallel paved road that diverges at Mt Currie. Those are all recognizable locations from the numerous BCR Videos, it would take me quite a while to sort them all out. There's guys on TO that have written books about the area and will have them identified in a few minutes.

+ just thinking my last BCR trip was 40 years ago.

Great stuff!  Thank you for posting this wonderful look back at better times for this line.

Below are where I believe each scene was.  Corrections from those in the know are welcome.  Some of the locations look quite a bit different today due to major highway work and revisions in the early 80's, and mid 2000's.

00:00-00:34: Southbound train at Mons, ~MP 77.5 of the Squamish Subdivision.

00:34-00:54: The SB is rolling along the shore of Alta Lake, approximately MP 75.

00:55-1:10: SB at the former grade crossing south of Whistler approximately ~MP 71.4, near the industrial park known today as 'Function Junction'.

1:11-1:18: SB at the grade crossing at ~MP 66.5

1:19-1:24: SB  Perhaps a quick pan to the left after the train crossed the grade crossing at the location above?

1:25-1:39: Southbound near MP 61.2.  Daisy Lake would be directly behind the cameraman during this scene.

1:39-1:50: Southbound south of Garibaldi siding.  The powerlines above are the giveaway to the location at MP 58.5

1:51: Southbound at MP58.  The cameraman would have shot this very close to their shooting location for the above scene.

1:51-1:53: Northbound speeder patrol at the north end of Cheakamus Canyon, between MP57 and MP58.

1:53-2:03: Northbound, at MP 57.7?

2:03-2:14: I believe the photographer is at the same location as the prior sequence, but the head end is up to MP 57.8

2:14-2:30: Northbound at MP61.2.  This is the same location as the southbound train from the fifth scene, near the Daisy Lake Dam.

2:31:-2:41: The NB has just crossed Alta Lake Road, in what is now Whistler. MP 73.0

2:42-2:58: NB crossing the Green River just north of Wedge.  ~MP 81.8

2:59-3:19: NB at MP 91.2, just north of Tisdall siding.

3:20-3:33: NB at Pemberton?

3:33-3:46: Another northbound back at the MP 71.4 crossing.

3:47-3:58: NB somewhere along the Soo River between MP 87 and 88

3:58-4:17 NB near south switch Tisdall?
