Maybe He Will Stop Next Time?!
Author: funnelfan

Video on social media showing a dump truck pulling a trailer on Chester Rd on Annacis Island running a stop sign and promptly taken out by a Rail Link train powered by SRY MP15DC #151 and GP9 #124. One can easily make the case the crossing is too overgrown

Wouldn't it be prudent to have a crew member flag those crossings if the railroad or municipality won't/can't get rid of that overgrown foliage?

I completely agree with Ted.  While grade crossing accidents are largely the fault of drivers not observing trains, it seems to me, and probably a lot of others, that the railroads share a certain responsibility for maintaining at least a plausible sight distance at grade crossings.  Or even the authority responsible for road maintenance.  If a collision ever got to court, a defense team would have a field day with all that brush.

I can clearly see BOTH the stop sign and railroad crossing signs.

Maybe if the train had a real loud noise making device that they used when they crossed the road.

I see it as Instant Karma for the truck driver blowing the stop sign.

Thought it was another episode of ' Boomer Diorama ' for a moment there.
But there was no giant cat in the background.

Good thing the engine was long hood forward.
