Yes a great photo, but those trains are not all that modern! Still the best British Rail high speed design though.

The office with the balcony was the domain of the Stationmaster in Great Western Railway days. Any driver more than a second late was reputed to be summoned upstairs to explain himself!

The same place, before it was refurbished. The actions of the people are reversed: they are dashing to the ancient looking (by continental European eye) DMUs here. In the front is the Heathrow Express Siemens manufactured Desiro UK EMU.
