European Railroad Discussion > Tatra - Monday in BerlinDate: 04/10/17 10:25 Tatra - Monday in Berlin Author: boiler77 Good afternonn friends,
was chasing some of the last regular Tatra operation in Berlin, Germany. It will be ended this year. The # 37 line between Lichtenberg and Schöneweide is one of three with these cars. # 1 - turning right at Rhin St and Kosmonauten Pkwy # 2 - racing with up to 40 mph alongside the Elisath Hospital in Herzberge # 3 - in the middle of Herzberg st Nice evening for all. Phil from Berlin, Germany Date: 04/10/17 11:02 Re: Tatra - Monday in Berlin Author: 86235 Nice pictures Phil, when do you expect the Tatras to be withdrawn?
Date: 04/10/17 11:27 Re: Tatra - Monday in Berlin Author: boiler77 The management of the transit authority advise it for the end of 2017. The lines # 37, 67 ran on weekdays full Tatra service and several set ran on the M 17 also on weekdays only.
They want hold some trainset ready for operation in the next years, but not in daily schedule service. Date: 04/10/17 13:42 Re: Tatra - Monday in Berlin Author: 86235 Many thanks, I feel a weekend in Berlin is well overdue :-)
Date: 04/10/17 18:39 Re: Tatra - Monday in Berlin Author: tq-07fan D'oh! I didn't know any Tatra cars still existed in Germany. I really like Picture 3.
Huhm, I have enough points fo fly over there, just no time away from work available. I wonder if not wanting to miss seeing Tatra's in Berlin could warrant a couple weeks of stress leave? Jim Date: 04/10/17 23:36 Re: Tatra - Monday in Berlin Author: spflow tq-07fan Wrote:

I hope you make it - after all, what is life for? Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 04/10/17 23:37 by spflow. Date: 04/11/17 10:37 Re: Tatra - Monday in Berlin Author: boiler77 spflow Wrote:

Look for Leipzig and several small citys like Potsdam and Cottbus. pic from Leipzig with the older T4 D - type. Phil Date: 04/11/17 16:00 Re: Tatra - Monday in Berlin Author: march_hare Can we North Americans get some background info on these cars?
Date: 04/12/17 08:59 Re: Tatra - Monday in Berlin Author: 86235 Tatra trams were built by Czech builder CKD, they are still quite numerous in various cities of Central and Eastern Europe but are gradually being replaced by modern, rather characterless designs from Skoda, Bombardier, CAF and Alstom
