Looking back to the 60ies part 1
Author: sventomas

Been away for a while from Trainorders but, when sorting and filing old pics found some memorable tours on Swedish narrow gauge between 1960 and 1966. The first was after graduation 1965 on 1067mm Karlshamn-Halmstad. The second is Faringe in 1960 on the 891mm RB. This station had narrow gauge connection with Stockholm City and is today end of the line for a popular tourist rly running from Uppsala Central station. The third is an excursion 1963 starting in Hultsfred. The track remains today.

First pic 1960 , KURJ No 12 (1090mm) taking water. Second pic State Rly Gp No 3043 on local freight between Oskarshamn and Växjö. Third pic 1968: the first X1 with special guests arriwing in Södertälje Södra with experimental EMU on track 1. All the X1 are now gone!
