Helsinki - Part 1
Author: CNStratford

Twenty hours between flights in Helsinki. What do two intrepid railfans who have just spent seven nights and six days riding the Trans-Siberian Express do? Why, we ride more trains.
Helsinki has a superb city rail system. We went over from our hotel to the Airport and caught a train on the loop line to a transfer station. We were heading to Kourala (corrected to Kerava) which was supposed to be great for train-watching.
Picture 1 - At the transfer station.
Picture 2 - The interior of one of the immaculate trains.
Picture 3 - A plinthed steam locomotive at Kourala (corrected to Kerava).

Thanks for the additional journey postings.
Things definitely look more prosperous.
Plus, I can read the Burger King sign.
