Wednesday's Polish Flashback
Author: gbmott

Here's today's dose of PKP nostalgia.

Gordon

1. Ty42-1 - Kobierzyce 11-21-93. On a Wrocław to Jaworzyna Śląska excursion.

2. Tr5-65 and Tr12-25 - Warszawa Praga 6-12-95. Arriving with a special associated with the 150th anniversary celebrations.

3. Ol49-99 - Jezioro Wirow 8-14-93. One of several specials operated out of Szczecin that day as part of some sort of "Railroad Day" celebration, the reason for which I've forgotten.

Close. Poland had (has?) very strict rules on herbicides and the railway either didn't have access to, or couldn't afford (I heard both) one that was allowed. There was no doubt more to the explanation. Everything looked much better when I was back there a couple of years ago.
