Moving on in Germany
Author: Bob3985

So after we visited the Weisseritztal railroad Andreas took me over to Radeburg to see their working steam railroad.

First is the Radeburg station.

Second is the enginehouse for the Radeburg locomotives.

And third is one of their 99 class steam locomotives.

The first photo shows the 2-10-2T locomotive from the other end.

Second is the exterior of one of their coaches.

Third is an interior photo of the car.

You didn't go to the Fichtelbergbahn, Cranzahl to Oberwiesenthal? http://www.fichtelbergbahn.de/

Easy to get too Cranzahl via DB train. I stayed at the Park hotel in Annaberg-Buchholtz. Very nice place overlooking the town and valley below. https://www.annaberg-buchholz.de/en/

You really should go while you are there.

This trip took p[lace in September 2002. I doubt I will be able to get back over there and thus the reason I spent most of my time chasing Historical family heritage places.

That's a burly and brutish tank engine! Thanks for your posts, I've enjoyed them.
