I will be taking a train from Paris to Amsterdam.
Where does the line from Paris connect with the NS Amsterdam-Maastricht line?

The High-speed line from Paris to Amsterdam is always to the west of the line from Maastricht to Amsterdam. It really only connects at Amsterdam Centraal. The trains from Paris normally enter from  the west, while the trains from Maastricht will enter from the east. Now of course you could go via Schiphol Airport with a change of train at Schiphol.
