Trains run right under the main hall and come out the other side. One of the more interesting departures is an ICE train to Hamburg. The entire train goes on the ferry to reach Germany. Tunnel replacement is under construction so ride while you can.

It's no longer an ICE service; the diesel ICE DMUs (class 605, a.k.a. ICE-TD) were taken out of service late last year and replaced on this route by Danish IC3 DMUs (with the big rubber gaskets on the ends). Still an interesting operation, however. |
