Russia, May 2018 - Part 4

1) Sapsan train at Moscow Leningradsky station.
2) About a mile out of Solnechnogorsk, a small town about 30 miles NE of Moscow. The MOS-StP October Railway is very straight and the ground has little relief. Looks like N Minnesota or W Ontario.
3) Electric locomotive and tank car in Tver. Nevsky Express is non-stop, we didn't stop at this city of 415,000.

4) Our locomotive, an electric B-B-B class EP20. 125 mph, 9600 hp.
5) TEM18B diesel C-C light road switcher/switcher. It has just arrived with a regional train.
6) Stainless steel route map on the wall of Saint Petersburg's Moskovskiy station.  Carl's hamburgers are far more popular than Karl's economics were.
