The most tragic railway of all

When we were  in Poland time was taken to visit Auschwitz and Birkenau

these pictures show the remnants of the line to the  main camp and an item of rolling stock

This truly was a sad time in world history but we can be glad some of this was preserved so it is never forgotten.

I agree with Bob K . Never to be forgotten.

As a railfan, the photos of the switch stand with the two hole, and the unusaul metal object next to the rail a derail unit?

Also from a modeler's POV, thank you for the closeups of the car. WW1 railroad equipment interests me. The bearing markings from 1916....
