Narrow gauge Rudy Poland
Author: rfdatalink

May 11th found my wife and I in Rudy Poland at the narrow gauge railroad musuem.    This was once part of an extensive Upper Selisian narrow gauge system.
- The shop buildinb was photogenic
- The first train of the day heads out
- Lots of interesting equipment in the yard

There were kids of all ages here taking short rides.   It certainly seemed like all were having fun.
Power for the day was a Polish railways class Lyd1

Thank you for the photos from Poland. What is the track gauge? Also do you recall the wheel arrangement of the steam locomotive?

I'm fairly certain the track gauge is 760mm, although parts of this network were 785mm at one time.
The steam locomotive in the background is an 0-10-0 I beliive.

Thank you Stephen, I got to go to Poland on business 14 years ago, it was an enjoyble experience. Saw and rode on standard gauge trains but no narrow gauge. I assume the narrow gauge is tourist only now days.
