Caledonian Sleeper ?
Author: gaspeamtrak

I'm not sure but I think I saw that
The Highland Sleeper launch has been pushed back to September?
Is this true?
I have heard bits and pieces about one of the Lowland Sleeper trainsets had problem with a faulty door sensor setting off a whole bunch false alarms causing almost all of the trains wheels to have flat spot and has been pulled out of service.
There has been cancelations for one service everynight???
Did they get rid of the Mark 3's and got caught with there pants down.:):):)
Severs them right?
I can't believe I seen anything much about it or did I just miss it???
Thanks for any info...

The Man in Seat 61‏Verified account @seatsixtyone 18h18 hours ago   Caledonian Sleeper has postponed introduction of new cars onto the Highland sleeper, originally planned for 7 July, now put back to September. Not unexpected - sound move, gives CAF time to sort issues & means at least 1 new set kept in reserve to support Lowland sleeper.

I don't think it is quite as clear cut as that. Caledonian Sleeper haven't committed to any date,  they have committed to keep the current transitional pricing in place until the end of September, which I think commentors have interpreted as meaning that will be the date by when both trains will be equipped with Mark 5s. They clearly want to get the product right and not be saddled with a PR disaster, and who can blame them.

I didn't say you did, I just said the situation isn't as clear cut as the piece you copied says.
