European Railroad Discussion > A Clayton CBD90Date: 11/26/19 06:18 A Clayton CBD90 Author: 86235 This is the new face of industrial locomotives in Britain, it's no.930, a 90 tonne hybrid with batteries and a tier 5 diesel for battery charging. Built by the Clayton Equipment Company in England it's one of three ordered by Tata Steel for work at the Port Talbot steelworks in South Wales. These two pictures were taken last Monday at Margam Knuckle Yard where the rail network in the steelworks meets Network Rail. Luckily for railfans a public footpath crosses the west end of the yard and the connections into the steelworks, great place to watch industrial switchers at work. 930 was collecting 25 coil carriers which had just arrived empty from Newport Docks.
