Train symbol for Irish intermodal?
Author: ShortlinesUSA

Good evening,

Do any of you happen to know if there is a train symbol assigned to Irish Rail's inbound intermodal to the North Wall facility?  I am taking advantage of the downtime to label some slides, and would like to attach a symbol to this train if one exists.

Many thanks!

Mike

Depending on what time it left Ballina it will either be K801, K803 or K805 (per Peter Cuffe on Irish Railways Past & Present Facebook group). What time did you see it?

Probably K805 then, leaving Ballina at 11:40.

Thank you, Nick.  I did get a private reply it was actually a K803 given the info I had from my records.  Maybe my time recollection was off?  Oh, I don't know, I had only been up for 30 HOURS at that point. ;-p   We run our Dublin flights unaugmented (just 2 crew) from Washington, DC, so no nap on the way.  But I was determined to get that train and forced myself to stay awake.  And it's a lot easier to stay awake standing on a bridge over a rail yard than it is sitting in a hotel watching TV!
