A few pictures from Madrid

A weekend in Madrid 2 weeks before their lockdown.

1 - Delicias station is now the railway museum, the last passenger train left in 1969, soldiered on for a few years a s a goods depot.
2 - The prototype Alco for the Spanish railways, another 16 were ordered but had cabs at each end.

4 - A handcart for our webmaster.
5 - Chamberi metro station which was closed in the early 60's and now preserved.
6 - A metro train passes through the closed chamberi station.

I take it that's the back of the station. Any photos of street side?

7 - The original Atocha station which is now a tropical garden, the new concrete Atocha station is attached on to the end of this beautiful building.

That is the front entrance to the station [now museum] , it is pretty hemmed in by buildings to get far enough away for an overall shot.

Interesting photos.The Alcos are just like Australian 44 Class locos.Also had a cab on the flat end.(not my photos)

The Catalan Railway Museum outside Barcelona has one too.
