Probably more famous now as the terminus of the Harry Potter Hogwarts Express. Here's one of hte two train sheds as well as the modern concourse addition that runs alongside the station next to St. Pancras. It's one of the stations that does not have a hotel as it's headhouse. More on that tomorrow.

It's certainly much tidier and cleaner since Deltic days, but any excuse for a couple of Deltic photos, taken in 1974. chris uk.

For a fee you can wear a prop scarf and have your photo taken pushing the luggage trolley through the wall to get to Platform 9 3/4. We had a train to catch or I would have been tempted to join the queue.

It's been there since at least 2013, when I did join the queue and had my picture taken (in Ravenclaw colors); the picture is still on top of the bookcase in the dining room. |
