Kings Cross visit
Author: 55002

Here in the UK, my local train operator, LNER, had a seat sale, so grabbed a trip to London for £10 each way. Kings Cross is my terminus, and I was amazed at the development going on around the station. No loco hauled and now no HSTs.Mainly Azumas.  Here's a line up of Azumas, and a phone panorama of the station and building work.  chris uk

Here's a comparison, over 46 years!!  I took the Deltic departure in 1974, and then one from this week. How did we manage to run a railway without all that clutter years ago??

In case anyone missed it previously, here are some photos of the actual station building, double train shed, and the new concourse area between Kings Cross and it's neighbor next door.
