TAW Date: 09/26/20 03:42 Re: East / West Berlin separation rail details Author: andersonb109 Some so called "ghost stations" still exist where trains were allowed to pass trough the east from the west and back to the west again. Anhalter Banhnoff is another example. It was located in West Berlin but the tracks soon entered Eastern territory before ending up in the West again.

Years ago I knew a German guy who lived in West Berlin and had a girlfriend in the East. He said it was easier to go back and forth between East and West Berlin than it was to get in and out of the US.
