Esbjerg, Denmark Station
Author: schaffner

Here are some photos of the Esbjerg, Denmark station.  My mother grew up in Esbjerg, and my grandfather worked at the Danish State Railways roundhouse in Esbjerg.

The first photo is, of course, the front of the station.
The next photo is the 7 Eleven store in the station.
The third photo is from one of the platforms.

The 5017 is an IC3 DMU set made by ABB Scania.

The last photo is inside the station.

This is Helsingor, Denmark that shares many design cues. It was built in 1891 and due to the surrounding ground being a sea bed, it rests on 1,600 poles. A restoration of the station was done in 1984 and completed in 1987. It also has a 7-Eleven convenience store inside!

Love the stations with the beautiful chandoliers.
Oh and it appears that 7Eleven managed to get the concession contracts.
How did McDonald's lose out on that one. Haha
