European Railroad Discussion > Timber!!Date: 04/03/21 15:41 Timber!! Author: exhaustED And now for something slightly different... I thought i'd try posting a video for a change.
I don't tend to do a lot of videoing in the UK, but an unusually timed northbound log/timber train came through my neck of the woods as it headed from South Wales to a chipboard/OSB plant in North Wales today, so out came the camcorder. Despite being deep in the English countryside there is some American influence/relevance... the locomotive is a GE-built class 70 (no. 70817), operated by Colas railfreight. The train isn't a particularly heavy one, at around 1200 tonnes, but there is a bit of a gradient here, so the 70 is working quite hard! Crank up the volume! Edited 6 time(s).
