First of a series of short films. This one features scenes at Worting Junction, west of Basingstoke, where the mainline from London Waterloo diverges west to Salisbury and the west of England or south to Southampton, Bournemouth and Weymouth. Steam is still king in 1962 with Bulleid designed original and rebuilt 4-6-2 Pacifics and two smaller 2-6-0's in their last few months of operation. The larger locomotives will continue until 1967.
