From today, May 9th, GBRf has become the traction provider for the Margam / Llanwern to Dee Marsh flow of steel coil. Normally the loaded train is scheduled under the cover of darkness, but today, owing to engineering works on the South Wales Mainline it ran about an an hour and a half later than usual, passing Pandy in the Welsh Marches just after sun rise. 66732 'GBRF The First Decade 1999 - 2009, John Smith MD' was the power on 25 loaded coil carriers. I expect we'll get heartily sick of this 66 over the next few weeks as GBRf tend to stick to a single loco on a flow for days, even weeks at a time.

Nice video.  When EW&S placed that large order for Class 66s, who would have ever guessed how far they would wind up ranging nor how many liveries they would wear.  Many now over twenty hears old, I think the class would have to be declared successful.

Successful without question! Their performance and reliability set a new standard for UK's railfreight operations.
