Von Ryan's Express Location?

I was watching the movie Von Ryan's Express today and I'd life to know which mountainous rail line it traveled before supposedly entering Switzerland at the end of the film?  Any TOs know? Thanks in advance!

The railway train shots were filmed on the line running south from Cortina d'Ampezzo, the site of the 1956 Winter Olympics, towards Belluno. In addition there was filming at Firenze Santa Maria Novella station.

There is a shot of the train going through Rome, or at least the shot was of Stazione Ostiense, a station I used frequently when I lived there.
