European Railroad Discussion > Bavarian Railway Museum and their Nördlingen EisenbahnfestDate: 05/27/22 11:10 Bavarian Railway Museum and their Nördlingen Eisenbahnfest Author: RailRyder I have been in Nördlingen, Bavaria, Germany this week for the Bayerisches Eisenbahnmuseum and their Nördlingen Eisenbahnfest. It has simply been fantastic! They have operated a varity of historical steam, electric and diesel power over several different lines, with about eight operating steam engines. Also, several charter special trains brought visitors in from other places, each with its own special steam, diesel or electric power. It has been non-stop action and a railfan paradise! The folks here at the musuem have been extremely helpful to me and I have made many new friends. The fun continues Saturday and Sunday before wrapping it up. The weather has been a bit iffy, but everyone has made the best of it. The hardest part is deciding which trains to ride or chase! I would highly recomend a visit here to any railfan!
