My euphoria is somewhat muted by coming to realize that a large number of the scans that I recently received are actually copies of the original scans that I made from negatives back in 2015.  Not all, but a majority.  Some of the new stuff is very good, but they are .tif files and I have to convert them to .jpeg and then integrate them with the existing.  All this explanation is so that you will be patient and also somewhat temper your expectations.  As a small bribe, three below which I think is the last of the color (at least close)

1.  BR 73086 "Green Knight" - Nine Elms 1962 (JB Snell)
2.  BR 92220 "Evening Star" - Huddersfield 1961 (JB Snell)
3.  BR 60006 "Sir Ralph Wedgwood" - Kings X Top Shed 1959

Another wonderful set, Gordon. And yes, I have taken the bribe - that portrait of 60006 Sir Ralph Wedgwood is just superb. And so now that you've bribed me, I promise to be patient. It will surely be worth the wait.

Wonderful! I'd hazard a guess that no.3 is King's Cross Top Shed, not Nine Elms. Sir Ralph Wedgewood was an ex-LNER A4 and in 1959 wouldn't routinely work away from the East Coast Mainline.

I agree it's Top Shed. The building design is the give-away.

Thanks for the corrections.  I just blindly copied what the scan said without thinking.  Even I know an A4 doesn't belong at Nine Elms.  Correction made.  Now we need to figure out who the photographer of this and of 34055 was.  The two photos are similar enough to suggest the same person might have taken both.  Any ideas about who?  Also can anyone tell me about J B Snell?

At first glance I thought "Green Knight" a misnomer for that 4-6-0, but a longer look rather endears this leggy, racy beast. Good lines and bones! I wonder what that funnel-shaped protuberence is behind the stack--looks like a boiler blowdown tank. Cheers!

It's not on the locomotive, possibly the top of a water crane behind?
