European Railroad Discussion > Autumn in the UK

After a dry hot summer, there's some rather nice autumn (fall) colors to be found. I know - there's no way we can compete with the Rockies or New England colours. Here's some shots from my local area in Yorkshire.
1. At the site of the former Healey Mills marshalling yard, a Freightliner class 66 is working the empty cement train from Dewsbury back to Earles Sidings in the Peak District. Freightliner is a subsibdary of G&W.
2. At Heaton Lodge Junction, a GBRf class 60, 60026, is working a train of imported biomass (wood pellets) from Liverpool Docks to Drax power station. All this area is scheduled for re-alignment and electrification.
3. Back to the former yard at Healey Mills, the cement empties are worked by class 66, 66605, which is painted in the Genesee & Wyoming colours.  (All photos by drone)  chris uk.

I can remember when Healey Mills was active back in the late 70s. Often saw the likes of 37040 and 40011 there
