A visit to Train World [the Belgian railway museum] was in order and the visit starts in the old Schaerbeek station with the main exhibits being in a purpose built building which is very interactive with lots of atmospheric lighting and visual displays to track the history of the Belgian railways, it must have been good as my  wife thoroughly enjoyed it.
The rear of the station, the existing station is on the right and consists of platforms and ticket machines.
Ticket office
Lots of memoribilia similar to this.

Brussels is a wonderful city.  Made a number of business trips there in the 1990's.
Unfortunately, my visits did not include railroads or railfanning.
Have really enjoyed your excellent photo posting.
Thanks very much.  Happy New Year!
ALLEN

Traveled to Paris from Cologne 15+ years ago on a Thalys train that stopped in Brussels but not at a stub end station.  Where would we have stopped?

Looking at pictures 1 and 2, I thought only Amtrak had dirty passenger trains.

Astonishing amounts of beer, chocolate, and trains.

Great country
