On a tour. Had a free hour. Walked to Thessaloniki station pictured below. Seemed rather typical. Eight tracks on four platforms. Stub end station. One train in station with four cars and locos on it. Pictured below.
The cars had this sign on side on side shown in pic, so what is Italy’s part in this operation?
Thessaloniki is a lovely city with a good vibe. Many cultural attractions.

Hellenic Train, the Greek passenger operation, is owned by Italy's FS.

Thessaloniki has rail service to Larisa, Athens, Dikaia, Edessa, Skopje and other places.
