European Railroad Discussion > Train time at KoperDate: 07/26/24 12:44 Train time at Koper Author: 86235 During the summer there are a number of seasonal workings to and from the resorts on the Slovenian and Croatian Adriatic Coast. One such is the RG1604 20:03 Koper to Maribor (arr 01:23) which also conveys a chair car, couchette and sleeping car to Budapest Deli (08:59).
Here are some shots of RG1604 as it awaits its on time departure this evening The loco is one of Slovenian Railways (SZ) class 363, built by Alstom in 1976. The man in the day glo shorts talking to the driver is the wheel tapper ( yes, really!). Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/26/24 12:56 by 86235. Date: 07/26/24 12:51 Re: Train time at Koper Author: 86235 There's a baggage car, which is primarily for bikes, indeed it was well loaded with a variety of bikes.
Unsure of the origin of the Slovenian equipment, back in Yugoslav days there was an indigenous passenger car building industry. The Hungarian MAV stock is from the DDR, the builders plates are still attached. Finally there's a short sequence of the train leaving. You must be a registered subscriber to watch videos. My exposure to open windows were MP54s on the Paoli local. Could get warm and a little dusty at times.

I didn't think they had any regular passenger workings anymore. This morning's Ljubljana to Rijeka (Croatia) service ran as two sections, the sleeping cars from Stuttgart and Munich were the first section, the chair cars from Ljubljana were the second.
