European Railroad Discussion > P’tit train de La Haute SommeDate: 08/28/24 05:09 P’tit train de La Haute Somme Author: crusader5619 A fascinating relic of rural narrow gauge in the Somme region. Brits, Germans and Americans all operated in the region in WW I. Now a small well run museum with several miles of trackage running along canals, climbing switchbacks and through open farm country not far from Albert. A stable of steam, interesting diesel and gasoline critters on display and operating. L P'tit train has been running since 1971 and this past Sunday they operated several full load trains over an interesting ROW.
